Steady legs for panel vans – start van living in comfort
Steady legs are an indispensable accessory for panel vans as they significantly increase comfort and safety when camping. Here, we introduce you to the various types of steady legs and explain why they are not only useful for caravans, but also for two-axle or multi-axle vehicles.
How do panel vans benefit from steady legs?
- Stability: Steady legs provide more stability and increased comfort when parked by bridging the vehicle’s suspension.
- Comfort: Hydraulic steady legs allow the vehicle to be precisely leveled, making the interior more comfortable and usable, which is especially good for sleep quality.
- Simplicity: The hydraulic steady legs level the vehicle easily at the touch of a button, which is particularly practical for people travelling alone.
LevelVan – the first hydraulic levelling system especially for panel vans
Precise, lightweight, easy to use
The brand new LevelVan levelling system is a first. This hydraulic levelling system is the first to be specially developed for panel vans and the only model in the world to date that uses carbon cylinders, making it particularly lightweight. Its net weight comes in at under 50 kg – yet it effortlessly provides stable support and precise levelling for vehicles weighing up to 4.25 tons, conveniently at the touch of a button and without any physical effort!
Why is that so important? The maximum permitted gross weight for panel vans is usually between 3.3 and 3.5 tons. Only a few owners load their vehicle up to the limit. That’s because the maximum speed is always 100 km/h so there is a risk of losing one of the key advantages of a panel van: faster travelling speeds. In consideration that an air conditioning system can weigh a good 30 kilos, every kilo lost from the vehicle technology is a worthwhile gain in travel quality.
Light components, simple assembly
The supports extend automatically in just a few minutes and bring the vehicle into a horizontal position for a secure stance. Two individual positions can be saved for leveling and tank emptying.
The local workshop will also be pleased: LevelVan is easy to install thanks to its chassis-mounted pump unit (to maximize interior space), prefabricated hoses – and all mounting material is supplied as part of the kit.
Suitable for:
The LevelVan system is suitable for panel vans based on Stellantis X 250, i.e., for models from the manufacturers Fiat, Peugeot, Citroën etc. up to a maximum authorized mass of 4.25 tons.
HY4 – the hydraulic levelling system with practical weighing function
The all-rounder with weighing function
If you own a panel van weighing more than 4.25 t or would like to check that the vehicle is loaded correctly before you set off, we recommend the hydraulic levelling system HY4. This hydraulic levelling system comes with an integrated weighing function and aligns your van with millimeter precision.
Two individually programmable positions, e.g., a sleeping position and the perfect angle for draining the wastewater tank, provide additional comfort.
The clearly labeled buttons allow to control the support pairs individually and use the levelling function on inclines manually or automatically. Leveling is conducted exactly to the millimeter and is completed within a few minutes. A built-in inclination sensor also informs you whether leveling is even possible at the pitch.
Suitable for:
The HY4 levelling system is suitable for motorhomes with a maximum authorized mass of up to 6 tons. Besides vehicles with a Fiat original chassis, it can also be installed in the VW Crafter II, the MAN TGE and the Mercedes Sprinter VS30.
